The most exciting part of woodturning for me is to witness the way wood reveals all the beautiful grains, patterns and colours it carries, like birthmarks brought to life. Each wood species carries its own unique textures and signatures which I try to preserve as much as possible in my works.  By minimising the use of varnishes, lacquers or paints, I allow the raw elegance of the wood to take centre stage.
